- DEGASPIC.ACC is a Modula-2 program written in TDI's MODULA-2 ST.
- It loads a PI1, PI2, or PI3 picture into memory when your machine is
- booted and then you can display the picture by selecting Show Picture
- from the desk accessory menu. To get back to your main screen, click
- on the right mouse button.
- The program will take the first DEGAS picture in the proper
- resolution on your boot disk and load it, so you can have a low, medium,
- and a high res pic on disk if you boot from all three resolutions.
- The only bad thing I know of about this program is that it takes
- up RAM. A 32000 byte buffer is needed to swap the screens. To help with
- the RAM problem, if you find that you need more memory, roll the
- mouse so the pointer would be in the extreme upper left corner of
- the screen (if you could see the mouse pointer) and press the
- right button. You will be returned to your work screen as usual,
- but the picture buffer will also be released for your use.
- Also remember that if you change resolutions and read the
- program again, another 32K will be used. To avoid this, if
- you are going to change resolution from the desktop, use a disk
- other than the one with DEGASPIC.ACC on it, or have a lot of extra
- RAM to spare, or free up the buffer before you switch resolutions.
- This program can be freely distributed. If you like it then help
- feed the hungry by donating some food or some money. We're all in this
- world together.
